Loneliness Sucks! A poem

“My solutide got intensified , when NY city was sleeping
and snizzle covered too;
Getting down from the ship, the wind walked ashore
Within the four glass walls, just myself and the candle
Loneliness loneliness… a torture torture…

You are not here to make me sleep by your lullaby-like syllables
You are not here to kiss me daily and offer morninig coffee
You are not here to pick out the dust in my eyes using ur tongue
You are not here to solve confusions that arise in my mind

I am here and you are there; And why is that, minutes become years in loneliness?
Sky is here and earth is thereand why do we two became the meaning for this similie?
My pen writes your name a hundred times in my diary
and immediately ants swarm around as if it’s honey
Though the weather is chill, why this moment became a hot summer for me?
Come on my dear, if you are here, even hot flame will become ice…

Kavignar Vaali will sue me if I claimed this as my poem.
This is my awful translation of the beautiful “Newyork nagaram” song from “Sillunu oru kaadhal”

My Shortest Story2 - Count Down

60 Seconds...

Abdul was sweating like an athlete who’d just run a 100 metre dash.

50 Seconds...

This was the first time he is doing this and his senior who compelled him has to be blamed

40 Seconds...

Oh God! Time flies in supersonic speed” Thought Abdul.

30 Seconds...

Suddenly he caught the attention of the Policeman who was routinely looking for trouble. Arousing the policeman’s suspisions made him hyper ventilate.

20 Seconds...

Can his deed be justified? This is not the time to contemplate. It’s too late.

10 Seconds...

The policeman looking at his suspicious actions, slowly came towards Abdul.Only ten seconds more.If only he’s caught…… He prayed sincerely to God

0 Seconds...

Green Signal flashed with “GO” Lights.Abdul moved with the crowd thanking God for not having been caught for riding a motorcylce without license

My Shortest Story1 - Cold Blooded Murder

“It was dark enough to blind a cat. Silence and the cool breeze added to the feel. Mr. Robert came half-running, conscious that he was already too late .As soon as he entered,he was taken aback by what he saw. It was a cold-blooded murder and the mere sight of flowing fresh blood was nauseating. Robert’s police brain began its preliminary investigation and began speculating who the killer might be? As he settled in a place so as to have a good look over the terrific site, his patriotic mobile phone sang the “Vande Mataram” tune.
Irritated and disturbed by the tone, a person sitting next turned to Robert and said “Won’t you people turn off your mobiles in Cinema theatres?”
