Enna Kodumai sir idhu? Series- Part II

Turn On ur Speakers

Driving through deserted roads of chennai during early hours of a day is interesting and enjoyable. After dropping my friend at Guindy railway station,I was on my way back to Velachery.

Except for the newspaper agents, Milk suppliers and a few stray dogs, there was noone to be seen.

MTC buses were lazing around once in a while, with drivers with residual sleepiness or TASMAC hangovers .Going by the unwritten rule that MTC bus should never stop at the bus stop, a D70 came into a screeching halt, some 50 metres away from the stop.

It was then I saw a buxom (euphemism for obese!) lady of around 50s was fighting off breathlessness in her struggle to speed up towards the bus. She was a sweet lady, I mean sweet like lady, soaked in perspiration as a Rasagulla would be in Jeera. As the patience lacking bus driver put the bus on gear , the "Do-gooder" in me woke up and I accelerated the bike.Overtaking the grandma, I halted and offered her lift so that she could catch the bus in the next stop.

She gave me a look I would never forget in my life, as if I am some wriggling worm. With DTS effect, she told those magical four words "Stupid! Don't disturb my walking".

Except for the newspaper agents, Milk suppliers and a few stray dogs, there was noone to be seen.

I thanked God for that!
