I am an addict. Yes, addicted to music.
What if God gave lids only to the eyes, my ears are always plugged with earphones.
Living in this ever fast-forwarded mechanical world, I love fast-paced and peppy numbers. Melody is so boring. People around me can get the drift of the song I listen to, by the beats spilling out of my earphones.
Listening to my favourite latest pop album, I am thinking of my olden days, when I used to listen to songs in Srilankan radio broadcasts, friday night's 'Oliyum oliyum', recording audio cassettes. Then there was CD and now everything's compressed into iPods. I feel like having the whole music world in my pocket.
The thumping beats and full blasted vocals made my blood boil and I can feel a
mild ecstatic surge of adrenaline. With all the fresh morning air blowing on my face,
caressing my hair, I feel like flying on the air.I feel as if I have been teleported to some
other planet in some unnamed galaxy.
Hey hey hey........
Suddenly everything went blank....
and mute...
I wake up... surrounded by so many people...
My dress is soaked in some fluid...
Wait! its red in colour...
While drifting back to void, I heard an oldman mutter to another guy " These young
chaps! he didn't notice the lorry coming around the corner blasting the horns and even
the pedestrians shouted to warn the boy, Psst..."
Again.. I drifted to dark and silent world.....
Someone in white dress is playing harp....
Mmmm... I like this melodious piece of music...
